Sauvignon Blanc fruit from the Dillons Point and central and lower Wairau Valley, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.74% alc. Brilliant, very pale straw-yellow colour, pale on rim. This has a softly fresh and voluminous, aromatic nose of passionfruit along with subtle English gooseberry fruits. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, softly presented, pure gooseberry and passionfruit flavours are interwoven forming a moderately concentrated core. The flavours flow smoothly with good linear drive, the palate enlivened by fresh, mouthwatering acidity which carries through to a fine, sustained finish showing minerally nuances. This is a classical Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc has elegance and delicacy, with a soft youthfulness. Serve with seafood and poultry over the next 2 years. 750 cases made. 18.0/20 Oct 2012 RRP $19.99
