Russian Jack Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Oct-2014
Full, even, bright straw-yellow colour. The nose is initially light and tightly bound, fresh gooseberry fruit aromas along with chalky mineral and herb notes, blossoming with aeration to reveal ripe tropical fruit and pungent passionfruit elements. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, bright flavours of passionfruit and gooseberries form a good, dense core. The mouthfeel is harmonious with soft textures, light acid liveliness and a smooth, gentle flow. This has good underlying energy carrying the wine to a fresh, passionfruity finish. This is a soft and harmonious, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with good depth. Serve as an aperitif and with herb-marinated white meat dishes over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in tank to 13.0% alc. 17.0/20 Oct 2014 RRP $15.00
