Ruru ‘Reserve’ Central Otago Pinot Gris 2017

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 03-Mar-2018
Bright, light straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, pale on the rim. This has a softly fresh nose with restrained aromas of exotic yellow stonefruits and yellow florals, with hints of honeysuckle and a suggestion of spice. Off-dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is fresh and bright with fragrant exotic stonefruit and floral flavours with hints of honeysuckle. The mouthfeel is lively with crisp, lacy acidity and soft, fine textures with some underlying drive. The wine carries to a lingering, aromatic finish. This is a refreshing, lively, off-dry Pinot Gris with stylish flavours of exotic stonefruits and florals on an elegant, soft-textured palate. Match with Asian cuisine over the next 3+ years. Pinot Gris fruit fermented in stainless-steel, with 10% in French oak barrels to 12.9% alc. and 8.8 g/L RS. 17.5/20 Oct 2017 RRP $30.00 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
