Ruru Central Otago Rosé 2017

Rose from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 03-Mar-2018
Bright, very pale salmon-pink colour with a little depth, lighter on the edge. The nose is fresh with a good core of finely expressed aromas of strawberries and cream with fresh red florals and subtle notes of confectionary. The aromatics show good depth and intensity. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has bright and lively aromatic, lifted fruit flavours of strawberries and cream with red florals and a little confectionary. The palate has a light, but concentrated line with fine textures and crisp, lacy acidity. The palate has fruit sweetness, with the acidity quite mouthwatering, and the wine carries to a lingering aromatic finish. This is a finely concentrated, crisp and refreshing dry rosé with strawberries and cream, with lifted red florals and hints of confectionary. Serve with canapes, antipasto and tapas over the next 2 years. 100% Pinot Noir fruit given 24 hours skin contact and cool-fermented in tank to 12.9% alc. and 5 g/L RS. 18.0-/20 Oct 2017 RRP $28.00 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
