Ruru Central Otago Rosé 2015

Rose from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 27-Sep-2015
Bright, pale candy-floss pink, a little lighter on the rim. The nose is elegantly presented with well-proportioned aromas of strawberry fruit lifted by soft red floral notes, the fruit revealing subtle herbal and fruit pastille confectionary nuances and a suggestion of minerals with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the mouthfeel is bright and lively with piquant and thirst-quenching flavours of strawberries and fruit pastilles along with red floral elements. The fruit is tightly bound and is driven by slippery, mouthwatering acidity enhancing the fine and dry textures and adding to the linearity. The wine flows with good energy, carrying to a long, dry finish with strawberry and confectionary nuances. This is a tight and concentrated dry rosé with strawberry fruit and slippery, thirst-quenching acidity. Serve as an aperitif, with canapes and with antipasto over the next 2 years. 100% Pinot Noir cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 4.4 g/L RS. 105 cases made. 17.5+/20 Sep 2015 RRP $19.99
