Running With Bulls Tempranillo 2020, Barossa

Tempranillo from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 28-Mar-2023
Deep ruby-red with a slight garnet shade, lighter on the rim. The nose is softly full, with aromas of strawberry, cherry, spice and a hint of meatiness. Medium-full bodied, balsamic strawberry and cherry aromas melded with plum, chocolate, nutmeg and cured meat. The fruit is generous with lush aromas, nutmeg, chocolate and grainy tannins that enrich the palate and lend a sustained finish. This Tempranillo is attractive and pleasing with flavour and richness. Match with grilled meat over the next 3 years. Fermented with indigenous yeasts to 14% alc, aged in new and mature Hungarian oak hogsheads. 17+/20 pts (86 pts) Mar 2023 RRP $26
