Rudi Pichler ‘Fiederspiel’ Gruner Veltliner 2011

Gruner Veltliner from Austria
Review Date : 07-Feb-2013
Wachau, vines 10-40 y.o., stainless-steel fermented to 12.5% alc. and 1.1 g/L rs. Very pale straw with slight green hues, the nose is very fine, fresh and youthful with light aromas of pepper, herbs and subtle spices, quite classical in varietal expression. Dry to taste, this is elegant in proportion, this is light and finely flavoured with racy acidity forming a very fine line with smooth textures. This is balanced, crisp and with length. A wine of transparency. 17.0+/20 Feb 2013
