Rossendale Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 20-Jul-2016
Bright, light straw-yellow colour, very pale on the rim. This has a full and soft nose with aromas of ripe passionfruit and tropical fruits, showing good depth, density and pungency at the core. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate is moderately full and broad with up-front flavours of ripe, pungent passionfruit, tropical fruits and fresh herbs. The mouthfeel shows some phenolic textures and grip lending a grainy structure, with underlying lacy acidity providing good energy and tension. The textures carry the wine to a sustained, grainy finish with pungent fruit notes. This is a full, pungent, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with some grainy, dry phenolic textures. Match with Mediterranean fare, and salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. 16.5+/20 Jul 2016 RRP $14.00
