Rossendale Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 14-Dec-2015
Bright, very pale straw-yellow, near colourless on the rim. This has a light, soft, but fresh and clean nose of gooseberry fruit with nuances of cut grass, lantana and herbal detail. Dry to taste and light-medium-bodied, the palate is fresh, crisp and mouthwatering with light flavours of gooseberries, lantana and cut grass with an aromatic lift. The fruit has a subtle richness and sweetness, and is balanced by light phenolic textures lending a brisk mouthfeel with thirst-quenching acidity. The palate has a light line that leads to a moderately sustained gooseberry fruited finish. This is a light, refreshingly crisp, straightforward Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry flavours with some length. Serve with seafood, salads and vegetables over the next 18 months to 2 years. Fruit from Hammerichs Road and Old Renwick Road, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.0% alc. 15.5-/20 Dec 2015 RRP $13.00
