Rossendale Marlborough Pinot Gris 2016

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 20-Jul-2016
Brilliant, light straw-yellow colour, paler edged. The nose is fresh and fragrant with aromas of white stonefruits and pears and subtly concentrated notes of rose-petal florals, spices and some youthful fermentation esters. Dryish to taste, the fruit is fresh, bright and aromatic with finely proportioned flavours of pears, white and yellow stonefruits, rose-petal florals and a suggestion of musk. The palate is up-front with good presence, and flows to a fine, dry-textured, lightly nuanced aromatic finish. This is a bright, aromatic, dryish Pinot Gris with pear and floral flavours and a light finish. Match with Asian fare over the next 2-3 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 2.0 g/L rs. 17.0-/20 Jul 2016 RRP $14.00
