Rongopai Marlborough Pinot Gris 2011

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 28-Nov-2012
Bright straw-yellow colour with slight golden hues and some depth, lighter on edge. This has a full, straightforward nose of white and yellow stonefruits showing a little savoury interest and nuances of nuts and minerals. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, light, clean, stonefruit and floral flavours show on a soft mouthfeel freshness from balanced acidity and delicate alcohol drive. The fruit is uncomplicated and carries to a clean, dry finish with a little heat. This is a light flavoured, clean and dry Pinot Gris to serve with antipasto and tapas over the next 18 months to 2 years. Marlborough fruit partially barrel-fermented to 14.0% alc. and 3.5 g/L rs. 15.5/20 Nov 2012 RRP $15.00
