Moderately deep, light ruby-pink colour, paler on rim. The nose is well-concentrated with deep aromas of pomegranate and quince entwined with earthy and minerally lees elements. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate features a firmly concentrated core of savoury and earthy red berry fruits and pomegranate notes alongside reductive, minerally detail and interest. The fruit has a subtle sweetness balanced by a very fine-textured line, and crisp acidity lends a lively, brisk mouthfeel. The palate leads to a dry, finely textured, leesy, earthy finish. This is a crisp, lively and well-concentrated dry rosé with earthy and minerally lees flavours. Serve with tapas and antipasto over the next 2+ years. Hand-picked Pinot Noir fruit from the ‘Rocky Point Estate’ vineyard indigenous yeast fermented in seasoned oak and tank to 12.5% alc., and 4 g/L RS, the wine aged 4 months on lees. 16.5+/20 Sep 2015 RRP $24.00
