Rockface Waipara Valley Riesling 2013

Riesling from New Zealand - Canterbury & Waipara
Review Date : 30-Sep-2014
Bright straw-yellow colour with light lemon-gold hues and some depth. The nose is tightly bound with aromas of white florals, lime zest, herbs and musk, revealing some sherbet and nutty nuances in the glass. Medium to medium-dry to taste, the palate shows up-front, light, white floral and citrus fruit flavours along with savoury musk and nutty elements. The palate is guided by a little phenolic presence and line and the mouthfeel is soft in texture and gentle in acid liveliness. The wine leads to a light finish with ethereal floral and lime notes. This is a soft, light, up-front medium Riesling with floral and citrus flavours and savoury, nutty hints. Serve as an aperitif and with Asian fare over the next 3 years. Fermented to 12.0% alc. and 22 g/L RS, TA 7.6 g/L and pH 3.3. 16.5-/20 Sep 2014 RRP $17.99
