Bright, medium straw-yellow, even colour throughout. The nose is gentle, enveloping stone fruit, citrus, flint and spice aromas. Full-bodied, ripe peach and Meyer lemon aromas entwined with stony minerals, smoky flint, custard and delicate spices. The fruit is lush and generous, broadens by a creamy palate; the lively acidity is integrated yet focused, carrying stony minerals and spice to a sustained finish. This barrel-fermented Sauvignon Blanc shows lush fruit and weight, complexity and power. Match with roasted pork and poultry over the next 5+ years. 100% Sauvignon Blanc from Parkburn, pressed to French oak barrels, no added sulphur, wild fermented to 14% alc, 2.5 g/l RS, natural MLF. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) Aug 2023 RRP $36.99
