Rochfort Rees Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 15-Apr-2013
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues. The bouquet is very fresh and tightly packed with intense aromas of passionfruit and gooseberries infused with minerals. Some herb and nettle-like nuances emerge in glass. Dry to taste, this has a slender, but firmly concentrated palate with flavours of minerals, gooseberries and passionfruit forming a dense amalgam with subtle phenolic textures The fruit is underlined my racy, mouthwatering acidity which drives the palate with the grip to a crisp, long, thirst-quenching finish. This is a brisk and racy Sauvignon Blanc with good intensity of gooseberry and minerally fruit. Serve as an aperitif or match with shellfish over the next 2 years. 50% Awatere and 50% Wairau Valley fruit fermented to 13.0% alc. and 3 g/L rs. 17.5-/20 Apr 3012 RRP $22.99
