Rochfort Rees ‘Classic’ Marlborough Rosé 2013

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 12-Oct-2013
Bright, soft pale pink colour, lighter on rim with faint purple hues. The bouquet is fresh, light and tightly bound with lifted red florals and delicate raspberry fruit aromas infused with minerals and herbs. Dry to taste and medium-light bodied, ethereal waves of strawberry fruit and red florals gently fill the palate. The fruit is underlined by a fine, textural thread and fresh, balanced acidity. The mouthfeel is fresh and bright, the flavours enhanced by some confectionary lift, and carry through to a gentle, mouth-wateringly crisp and dry finish. This is a properly dry rosé with ethereal strawberry and confectionary flavours and a fresh mouthfeel. Serve with seafood and charcuterie in outdoors dining situations over the next 2 years. Made from Marlborough Pinot Noir fruit, fermented to 12.0% alc. and 5.6 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Oct 2013 RRP $21.95
