Robert Groffier Chambertin ‘Clos de Beze’ Grand Cru 2006

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 28-Aug-2012
Based in Morey-St-Denis. From 0.42 ha, 13.5% alc. Light ruby-red colour, with a little garnet, vibrant appearance. The bouquet is marked by ethereal perfumes and fragrances of dark red fruits and florals, revealing layers of detailed, complex secondary funky game and brown spice aromas. Rich with excellent intensity, this unfolds layers of soft red fruits and gentle secondary flavours from a concentrated core. Quite open and becoming a little broad, the soft, supple and fine tannins enable approachability. The palate retains sufficient acidity for tension and freshness. This is a very refined, wine on a plateau, but will keep 5-7+ years. 19.0-/20 Aug 2012
