Riverby Estate Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 02-Apr-2015
Brilliant, very pale straw colour with some green hues, near colourless on rim. The nose is very elegant and tightly bound with finely concentrated aromas of gooseberry fruit interwoven with passionfruit and tropical fruit nuances, unveiling green apple, herb and thirst-quenching mineral notes. The aromatics feature purity and a floral lift. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, delicate fruit flavours of gooseberries and limes are lifted by white floral elements. The palate is refined with mouthwatering, lacy acidity and a very fine, textural thread that allows the fruit sweetness to show. The flavours are carried with excellent tension to a long lingering, dry finish. This is an elegant and delicately fruited, mouthwatering Sauvignon Blanc with gooseberry and floral fruit. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 2 years. Fruit from the ‘Riverby’ vineyard, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 4 g/L RS. 18.0-/20 Apr 2015 RRP $20.00
