Riverby Estate Marlborough Rosé 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 06-Apr-2015
The first release of a rosé. 50% Syrah and 50% Pinot Noir from the ‘Riverby’ vineyard, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 10.7% alc. and 4 g/L RS. Bright candyfloss pink with youthful purple hues, lighter on rim. The nose is fresh with delicate aromas of strawberry fruit and red florals and subtle nuances of fruit pastille confectionary. Dry to taste and light-bodied, the fruit expression is soft and delicate. Strawberries, watermelon and red floral flavours are interwoven with confectionary nuances. The mouthfeel is soft-textured with thirst-quenching phenolics and lacy and lively acidity. The palate is well-balanced and carries positively to a light, spicy Syrah fruited finish. This is a light, dry rosé with delicate strawberry and fruit pastille flavours and a soft, dry texture. Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 18 months to 2 years. 16.0+/20 Apr 2015 RRP $20.00
