Riverby Estate Marlborough Noble Riesling 2012

Sweet Wine from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 04-Jun-2013
Bright, even, pale straw-yellow colour. The bouquet is tight and intense with a refined amalgam of talc botrytis entwined with notes of citrus fruits and honey, all expressed with elegance. Very sweet to taste, this is elegant and finely presented with intensity and cut. The honey and botrytis talc flavours are prominent with the pure citrus fruit line in support. The mouthfeel is refreshingly luscious and has excellent acid poise and cut, the textures soft and fine. This grows in richness and decadence, and the flavours lead to a softly textured, lingering finish with an array of talc, honey and musky blossom elements. This is an elegant Riesling dessert wine with freshness and fine botrytis that buids in richness. Match with fruit-based and baked desserts over the next 5-6 years. Hand-picked botrytised fruit from selected rows fermented to 9.0% alc. and 128 g/L rs, TA 7.6 g/L and pH 3.21. (375 ml) 18.5/20 Jun 2013 RRP $35.00 (Not yet released)
