Fruit certified BioGro organic and Demeter biodynamic. Hand-picked, destemmed and wild yeast fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine spending 14 days on skins and aged in 25% new French oak. Moderately deep, dark ruby-red colour with purple hues on edge. Fresh, ripe raspberry and dark cherry fruit aromas are the feature on bouquet, lifted by attractive violet-like florals and some spicy oak and liquorice nuances. Medium-bodied, juicy dark raspberry fruit flavours intermingle with violet florals, dark herbs and spices. The up-front fruit is enriched by some alcohol warmth and bright acidity contributes to the drive. Moderate tannin extraction adds a firm and youthful edge and a little robustness to the mouthfeel, which leads to a juicy, pastille-flavoured finish with a grainy texture. This is a bright and juicy, up-front, raspberry flavoured Pinot Noir with good tannin and mouthfeel. Match with antipasto, pastas and poultry dishes over the next 4+ years.
