Richmond Plains ‘Monarch’ Nelson Rosé 2011

Rose from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 12-Dec-2011
Bright pale pink colour with a lighter rim with faint, youthful purple hues. This has a full and concentrated nose of bright raspberry confectionary lifted with some fermentation esters. Dry to taste, the palate has soft, matty raspberry fruits, gently expressed. There is good weight and vinosity, and the presence is enhanced by soft acidity. This is a soft, up-front and uncomplicated rosé to serve chilled with cold meats and antipasto over the next 18 months. Made from 100% Pinot Noir from fruit undergoing conversion to Certified BioGro status, crushed and destemmed, then given overnight skin contact before cool-fermentation. The resultant wine was blended with 10% seasoned oak fermented wine. 14.0% alc. and 4.3 g/L rs. Suitable for vegans. 16.5/20 Dec 2011 RRP $19.95
