Richmond Plains ‘Admiral’ Nelson 2010

Blended Red from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 10-Jul-2011
Very dark, near saturated black-red colour with purple hues. This has a cool, leafy, blackcurrant and dark plum fruited nose, the aromas fresh and clean. Medium-weighted, the palate shows leafy blackcurrant, mint and capsicum flavours with fresh acidity prominent. A fine, supple, tannic thread underlines the fruit and provides good texture, presence and length. A blend of organically certified Merlot, Malbec and Cabernet Franc fermented to 13.7% alc., the wine aged 11 months in French oak barrels. Serve with antipasto, pizza, pasta and herb marinated red meat dishes over the next 3-4+ years. 15.5/20 Jul 2011 RRP $22.99
