Ribbonwood Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 16-Oct-2014
Bright, even, light straw-yellow colour with slight green hues. The nose is full with gentle aromas of gooseberry and green capsicum fruit aromas along with white floral, fresh herb and grassy notes in the cooler spectrum. Dry to taste and medium-light bodied, this has a fresh, lively and elegant palate with aromatic and juicy flavours of gooseberries, florals and herbs. The wine follows a positive core with fine textures and refreshing acidity, and the mouthfeel has balance and harmony. Some cooler grass and nettle-like nuances emerge, and lead to a light, moderately sustained finish. This is an elegant, juicy and lively Sauvignon Blanc with lifted gooseberry and grassy fruit with a balanced mouthfeel. Serve with salads, vegetables and Mediterranean fare over the next 2 months. 90% Wairau Valley and 10% Dashwood fruit, cool-fermented in tank to 12.5% alc. and 4 g/L RS. 17.0/20 Oct 2014 RRP $17.00
