Ribbonwood Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 26-Sep-2012
Bright straw colour with pale lemon hues, pale on rim. This has a fresh, full and open nose of pungent passionfruit and tropical fruit aromas with grassy, nettle and gooseberry elements. Dry to taste, tightly bound gooseberry and minerally fruit flavours are driven by racy acidity resulting in a sleek and crisp mouthfeel. The palate is concentrated with good depth and line, the mouthwatering acidity carrying through to a zesty and long finish with passionfruit flavours and a dry texture. This is a racy Sauvignon Blanc with concentrated pungent gooseberry flavours. Match with seafood, vegetables and salads over the next 2+ years. Fruit from 9 different sites in the Wairau Valley, stainless-steel fermented to 13.0% alc. and 4.5 g/L rs. 17.5/20 Sep 2012 RRP $17.00
