Ribbonwood Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 23-Jan-2012
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with faint green hues, clear on rim. This has a softly full, voluminous and gently pungent nose of passionfruit with savoury nettle and capsicum notes. Dry to taste, upfront passionfruit and tropical fruit flavours flow and fill the palate. The textures are soft and the acidity is moderate, and the wine is rounded. The flavours recede a little on finish. Fruit selected from Wairau Valley vineyards cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 4 g/L rs. This is a soft, accessible and flavoursome Sauvignon Blanc to match with vegetables and salads over the next 18 months. 16.0-/20 Jan 2012 RRP $19.95
