Ribbonwood Marlborough Riesling 2011

Riesling from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 23-Jan-2012
Estate fruit fermented to 12.5% alc. and 13 g/L rs. Very pale straw yellow colour with green hues, pale on rim. The bouquet is attractively fresh and full of aromas of lime juice and green apples with underlying notes of honeysuckle. Medium-dry to taste, bold and mouthfilling flavours of limes and apples are enlivened by crisp, racy acidity. Some phenolic texture and grip is noticeable, but not overly intrusive, and the juicy citrus and floral flavours feature, carrying through to a dry finish showing a quenching quinine note. A fruity, mouthwatering Riesling with the firmness to match seafood and poultry over the next 3+ years. 17.0/20 Jan 2012 RRP $19.95
