Rene Mure ‘Signature’ Alsace Muscat 2010

Muscat from France - Alsace
Review Date : 17-Mar-2014
Brilliant, pale straw-yellow colour. The bouquet is somewhat restrained in expression with savoury solids fermentation characters alongside musky, grapey varietal fruit. This has reductive complexity muting the aromatics. Dry to taste and medium-light bodied, brighter flavours of musk and herbs form an amalgam with reduction notes. The mouthfeel is the feature with fine, granular textures and flow, and acidity becoming prevalent, leading to an acid, leaner finish. The wine unfolds more fruitiness in the glass. A reductive dry Muscat. Drink over the next 3-4 years. Fruit from neighbouring contract vineyards. 12.5% alc. 16.5-/20 Mar 2014 RRP $35.99
