Redmetal Vineyards Cabernet Franc Rosé 2021, Hawke’s Bay

Rosé from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 16-Nov-2021
Bright, even, plush-pink with some depth. The nose is softly full with sweet aromas of strawberries, red berries, along with a whiff of fruit pastilles and flower petals. Full-bodied, dry to taste, generous aroma of ripe strawberries and fruit pastilles filled the palate, lingering with petals. The fruit is generous in proportion, enriched by a weighty palate and fine-textured phenolics. Balanced, juicy acidity carries subtle spice on the finish. This is a juicy rosé with ripe strawberries, fruity confectionery flavours on a textured mouthfeel. Serve as an aperitif or match with Thai beef salad over the next 2 years. Fruit from Bridge Pa Triangle, on skins for 4 hours, cool-fermented in stainless steel to 14.5% alc, 2.5g/l RS, rested on lees for 4 months. 17.5/20 pts (88 pts) Nov 2021 RRP $25
