Redmetal ‘Block Five’ Bridge Pa Triangle Hawke’s Bay Albarino 2017

Other White from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 20-Jun-2018
Bright, light golden colour with pale lemon-green hues, with some depth, lighter on the rim. The nose is elegantlt proportioned with fresh, deep aromas of tropical fruits and exotic yellow florals, along with subtle notes of citrus fruits, unfolding nuances of fresh herbs. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has an elegant core with well-packed flavours of yellow stonefruits and tropical fruit, along with notes of citrus fruits and yellow florals, unveiling hints of herbs. The flavours are up-front and enlivened by a line of fresh, lacy acidity. The palate has a soft richness which is underlined by a little phenolic texture that carries to a dry, taut finish. This is an elegant but well-concentrated dry Albarino with flavours of tropical and citrus fruit along with exotic florals. The palate is rounded with fine acidity and emerging phenolics that lead to a taut finish. Serve with seafood, and Asian fare over the next 2-3 years. 100% Albarino, hand-picked and WBP, and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.0% alc. and 3.5 g/L RS, TA 5.55 g/L and pH 3.46, the wine aged 5 months on lees. 18.0-/20 Jun 2018 RRP $28.00
