Red Tussock Central Otago Pinot Noir 2009

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 13-Mar-2011
Dijon clone fruit from Bannockburn, Lowburn and the Cromwell Basin fermented to 13.0% alc. This has a deep ruby-red colour with youthful purple hues. Clearly Central Otago Pinot Noir with aromas of dark cherries and berry fruit, dried thyme herb and a hint of sweet confectionary on bouquet. This has rich and densely concentrated dark cherry flavours with plummy notes, backed by good spicy oak elements, all framed within a firm palate with good tannin extraction. The sweetness of the fruit carries well through to the finish. Drink with roast duck over the next 2-3 years. 17.0-/20 Mar 2011 RRP $21.99
