Red Queen Marlborough Pinot Noir Rosé 2017

Rose from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 08-Mar-2018
Bright, candy-floss pink colour with a little depth, lighter on the rim. The nose is delicately fresh with aromas of strawberries and watermelon along with soft floral notes and a hint of confectionary entwined with minerally suggestions. Dry to taste and light-medium bodied, the palate has light flavours of strawberries and cream with watermelon and lifted floral elements, along with mineral nuances. The mouthfeel is refreshing and lively with slippery acidity, and the wine flows easily along a smooth palate line, leading to a light, nuanced finish. This is a refreshing, light-fruited dry rosé with subtle strawberry and floral fruit on a slippery palate. Serve as an aperitif and with canapés over the next 2 years. Marlborough Pinot Noir fruit, clones 10/5, 115, 667 and 777, given 6 hours skin contact and cool-fermented to 12.5% alc. and 4 g/L RS, the wine undergoing batonnage. 16.5+/20 Mar 2018 RRP $18.99
