Red Deer Marlborough Pinot Gris 2014

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 02-Aug-2017
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, near colourless on the rim. The bouquet is soft and clean, with light, uncomplicated aromas of white stonefruits and suggestions of pear and honeysuckle, with nuances of savoury, nutty secondary development. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has light, clean and delicate flavours of white stonefruits with hints of honeysuckle, and nutty secondary elements. The mouthfeel is fresh with lacy acidity, and the wine flows smoothly along a fine line, leading to a stonefruit-nuanced finish. This is a clean, light and uncomplicated dry Pinot Gris with stonefruit flavours and nuances of honeysuckle and hints of development. Serve as an aperitif and with Asian fare over the next 2+ years. Pinot Gris fruit fermented in stainless-steel to 12.6% alc. and approx. 5 g/L RS. 15.5/20 Aug 2017 RRP $20.00
