Real Compania de Vinos VdT Castilla Tempranillo 2014

Tempranillo from Spain
Review Date : 31-Aug-2015
Very dark, black-hued purple-red colour, near saturated. The nose is full and bold with up-front, aromatic primary fruit aromas of raspberries and boysenberries along with plum jam and confectionary whole berry fermentation notes. The aromas a vibrant and fruit-focussed. Medium to medium-full bodied, sweetly ripe, rich and plush fruit flavours of boysenberries and raspberries fill the front palate. Layers of blue fruits and plum jam add to the sweetness. The fruit is underlined by grainy tannin textures, balancing the fruitiness, providing a soft, flowery palate line that carries to a jammy-fruited, dry-textured, lingering finish. This is a bold, ripe, sweet-fruited Tempranillo with boysenberry and plum flavours and a dry, textured palate. Match with antipasto and barbecued fare over the next 2-3 years. 100% Tempranillo fruit from Castilla fermented to 14.0% alc. 16.0+/20 Sep 2015 RRP $17.99
