Rapaura Springs ‘Single Vineyard’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2011

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 04-Apr-2012
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, pale on rim. This has a fresh, lively and elegant, but penetrating nose of passionfruit with saline and gooseberry nuances. Dry, fresh, crisp and zesty, pure passionfruit and gooseberry fruit flavours with a seaside note are presented with vibrancy and vitality, the acidity providing a raciness through the palate, supported with a very fine textural thread. The finish is tight and lacy with good lively acidity. This is an elegant and refreshing Sauvignon to match with shellfish, poultry and vegetable dishes over the next 2+ years. A single vineyard wine from the Dillons Point, Lower Wairau area, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 3.5 g/L rs. 17.5/20 Apr 2012 RRP $14.99
