Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 27-Sep-2023
Light ruby-red, even colour throughout. This has a gentle and savoury bouquet, penetrating with aromas of cherry, black raspberry and plum, melded with herbs, rich floral and savoury, earthy elements. Medium-bodied, aromas of cherry and black raspberry entwined with plum, hibiscus and rose, unfolding herbs, cinnamon and clay minerals. The fruit is attractive, with a great balance of sweet and sour, expanding in depth and length. Fine-grained tannins lightly coated the palate, and lacy acidity drives an enticing, long finish. This Pinot Noir is elegant and well-made, with fine texture, length and balance. Match with smoked duck and stewed pork over the next 6+ years. 13% alc. 18.5+/20 pts (94 pts) Sep 2023 RRP $36.90
