Light ruby-red, lighter on the rim. The nose is delicate, with red fruit, herb, rose petals and spice aromas. Medium-light bodied, aromas of cherry and cranberry interweaved with thyme, rose petals, cinnamon and a hint of mocha. The fruit is bright with good depth, unfolding integrated toasty spice and richness. Balanced acidity carries supple tannins to a fine, dusty finish. Match with roasted duck and pork over the next 3-5 years. The fruit was cold soaked for 5 days prior to fermentation in small open-top tanks, underwent MLF before ageing in French oak barrels for 10 months, 20% new oak. 13.5% alc. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) July 2023 RRP $24.99
