Bright, light straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, lighter edged. The nose is gently full and concentrated with well-packed aromas of pungent passionfruit harmoniously melded with tropical fruits, fresh herbs and mineral nuances. The aromatics open with ethereal detail and grow in presence with aeration. Medium-bodied, the palate features rich and lusciously mouthfilling flavours of passionfruit and tropical fruits, along with fresh herbs and minerals, forming a rounded and concentrated core. The fruit is underlined by very fine textures and refreshing, lacy acidity, and the wine carries to a long, lingering, concentrated finish with fine grip and depth. This is a mouthfilling and concentrated Sauvignon Blanc with pungent passionfruit flavours, freshness and presence. Serve as an aperitif and with Asian cuisine over the next 2 years. Fruit from the Wairau Valley, Dillons Point and Waihopi, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 2.8 g/L RS. 18.5/20 Aug 2016 RRP $22.00
