Rapaura Springs Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 08-Aug-2017
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is softly fresh and full with a gentle core of tropical fruit, passionfruit and gooseberry aromas, unfolding green capsicums and herbs and some fresh fermentation esters. The nose is easy and accessible but grows in depth in the glass. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is elegant and slender in presentation with moderately deep and intense flavours of gooseberries and passionfruit with fresh herbs and cut grass. The fruit is in the cooler spectrum. The mouthfeel is fresh with crisp and racy acidity, and the wine flows along a very fine line, leading to a light finish. This is a crisp and racy Sauvignon Blanc with cool spectrum flavours of gooseberries, passionfruit and cut grass. Serve as an aperitif, and with seafood over the next 2 years. Fruit from multiple sites in Marlborough, cool-fermented in stainless steel to 13.0% alc., the wine aged 2 months on lees. 16.5+/20 Aug 2017 RRP $16.99
