Rapaura Springs Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 15-Aug-2016
Bright, very pale straw colour with light green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is fresh, bright, lively and aromatic with soft, pungent passionfruit aromas that show with gentle concentration and density, unfolding notes of fresh herbs, snow peas, cut grass and gooseberries. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has elegantly concentrated flavours of passionfruit and gooseberries along with fresh herbs, cut grass and snow peas. The mouthfeel is lively from fresh, lacy acidity and the wine flows smoothly along a fine phenolic line leading to a finely concentrated, lingering finish. This is an elegantly concentrated, refreshing Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit and gooseberry flavours, and a fine line. Serve as an aperitif, and with salads and vegetables over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented to 13.1% alc. and 4.0 g/L RS. 17.5+/20 Aug 2016 RRP $18.99
