Rapaura Springs Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 11-Sep-2013
Brilliant, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues. The nose is youthfully fresh, full and open with voluminous aromas of passionfruit lifted by fermentation ester nuances. Dry to taste and light-bodied, light and gentle flavours of pungent passionfruit form a soft core. The mouthfeel is smooth and slippery with racy acidity and a hint oiliness. The flavours flow smoothly with some phenolic textures growing on a dry, long, lingering finish featuring passionfruit notes. This Sauvignon Blanc has a full bouquet and light-bodied, smooth and slippery palate featuring passionfruit aromas and flavours. Serve with salads and vegetables and with Mediterranean fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from Rapaura, Lower Wairau, Awatere and Waihopi, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc. and 4.6 g/L RS. 17.5-/20 Sep 2013 RRP $18.99
