Rapaura Springs ‘Classic’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2018

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 07-Aug-2018
Brilliant, light straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, paler on the rim. The nose is softly full and voluminous with vibrant pungent aromas of passionfruit along with tropical fruit and fresh herbs. The aromatics show good depth and unfold white florals with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has a rich and lively heart packed with lusciously succulent flavours of passionfruit and tropical fruits. The flavours are up-front and aromatically mouthfilling unveiling a floral and pungent aromatic array. The wine flows along a smooth-textured line with refreshing, crisp acidity enlivening the mouthfeel and underlining the palate as it carries to a lingering, taut finish. This is a rich and succulent, up-front and lively, mouthfilling Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit and tropical fruit on a refreshingly crisp palate. Match with salads and vegetables, and Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 5.1 g/L RS. 18.5/20 Aug 2018 RRP $13.99
