Quinta do Correio Dao Branco 2011

Blended White from Portugal
Review Date : 09-Dec-2012
Bright, light golden-hued straw yellow, this has a full and voluminous nose with good presence. The aromatics are clean, fresh and upfront with steely stonefruits and nuts, a little warmth showing. Dry to taste, an amalgam of citrus, stonefruits, herbs and nuts feature solidly on palate. This has a degree of power from weight, and drive. The underlying acidity is fresh and slippery, and the palate flows smoothly. This shows its warmer climate heritage, but is fresh, clean and pristine. A dry, solid white to match with antipasto over the next 2-3 years. A blend of Malvasia Finca, Bical, Encruzado and Cercial, fermented to 13.0% alc. 16.5+/20 Dec 2012 RRP $18.90
