Quarisa ‘Treasures’ Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon 2010

Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia - South Australia
Review Date : 30-Oct-2013
Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon fermented to 14.1% alc., the wine aged 16 months in new and seasoned French and American oak. Very full, dark, deep, black-hued ruby-red colour. This has an elegant and seamlessly integrated, fragrant bouquet of pure, ripe blackcurrant fruit, along with delicate nuances of oak and liquorice that build with intensity. Medium-full bodied, this is classically proportioned with intense and finely concentrated flavours of ripe blackcurrant fruit complexed by cassis liqueur, liquorice, earth and tar nuances which add considerable detail. The palate is carried by extremely fine tannins and excellent, fresh acidity, providing silky, smooth textures, vitality and linearity, leading to an elegant, very long-lingering finish. This is a classical, refined Cabernet Sauvignon of excellent finesse and freshness. Match with roasted red meats and hard cheeses over the next 6-8+ years. 18.5+/20 Oct 2013 RRP $24.99
