Moderately deep crimson with a slight garnet rim. The nose is soft, contrasting with sweet and savoury elements, with aromas of plum and cherry intertwined with vanilla, dark chocolate, charcoal, black pepper and nutmeg. Medium-bodied, aromas of plum and cherry entwined with red berry, unfolding earthy mineral, charcoal, dark chocolate and sweet vanilla, nutmeg and black pepper. The acidity is soft and refined, carries a silk grip of tannins, drawing a straight, long line with minerals and liquorice, leaving a moreish and thoughtful lingering. This savoury Pinot Noir possesses a delicate minerally, earthy palate with a savoury and sweetness contrast, very enticing. Handpicked, hand sorted, fully destemmed and fermented with yeast from vineyard to 13.5% alc, on skins for 21-27 days. Aged in French wooden cuves and barrels for 18 months. Unfined, unfiltered.
