Prunotto Roero Arneis DOCG 2011

Arneis from Italy - Piedmont
Review Date : 13-Sep-2013
This is very pale coloured with a thirst-quenching bouquet of stonefruits, minerals and nuts. Bone dry, the palate flavours echo the aromatics, on a palate with real penetration and depth. The tightness results in a slender mouthfeel, and a little phenolic grip aids the dryness. Despite the dryness, the acidity wasn’t searing. I’ve seen richer examples under Prunotto, but the 2011 seems classic. 100% Arneis cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.0% alc. 17.0+/20 Sep 2013 RRP $32.95
