Prunotto ‘Occhetti’ Nebbiolo d’Alba DOC 2007

Nebbiolo from Italy - Piedmont
Review Date : 31-May-2012
Nebbiolo fruit from the ‘Occhetti' vineyard, the wine aged 10 months in large casks and tonneaux, 13.5% alc. Deepish ruby-red colour with garnet and orange hues, this has a soft, but dense nose of earthy, cherry fruit aromas with a hint of game. Medium-full bodied, this has a core of sweet, bitter cherry, moderately deep, but with richness, the tannins quite fine and providing a fine and balanced structure, and good length. This has an approachability, and the match of fruit and grip makes this a modern-traditional style that will age for 8-10 years.  18.0-/20  May 2012
