Prunotto ‘Bussia’ Barolo DOCG 2005

Nebbiolo from Italy - Piedmont
Review Date : 13-Sep-2013
Very deep black-red with garnet and brick on edge. This is a beautifully elegant and finely expressed wine, the bouquet of dried fruits, leather, florals and tar growing in depth. Very fine featured and concentrated with a core of lusciousness, but encased by fine structure and tannin. The acidity is in the background, allowing the fruit to star. Lovely secondary nuances showing, but very integral with the savoury fruit. Great elegance and style, this will keep another 7-10 years. 100% Nebbiolo from the ‘Bussia’ cru in Monforte d’Alba, fermented to 14.0% alc. and aged in 50 hL barrels and barriques. 18.5+/20 sEP 2013 RRP $119.95
