Pond Paddock ‘Zoee’ Te Muna Road Martinborough Rosé 2018

Rose from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 25-Nov-2018
Bright, light salmon-pink colour with some depth, lighter on the edge. The nose is elegant and fresh with fine aromas of strawberries and watermelon with cherry fruit and subtle lifted red florals with nuances of chalky, mouthwatering minerals. This has an attractive delicacy of fragrance that builds with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, the palate has sweetly rich and luscious flavours of strawberries and cream, with soft notes of ref florals with hints of confectionary, along with chalky mineral nuances. The fruit forms a well-packed core and the wine has good linearity and drive, with light, lacy acidity providing energy. The wine carries to with fruit richness to a lingering finish. This is a gently rich and luscious dry rosé with flavours of strawberries and cream with lifted florals on a finely packed palate with linearity and energy. Serve with dim sum and Asian fare over the next 2 years. Pinot Noir fruit from the ‘Pond Paddock’ vineyard, saigneed, given a short time on skins and fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and <3.0 g/L RS. 18.0/20 Nov 2018 RRP $24.00 Disclaimer: This wine is distributed by ‘Wine2Trade’, the company under which ‘Raymond Chan Wine Reviews’ operates
