Bright, light ruby red, slightly lighter on the rim. The nose is gentle and alluring, with penetrating aromas of dark cherry, black raspberry, herb, floral fragrance and spice. Medium-light bodied, dark cherry and black raspberry aromas melded with savoury herb, cinnamon, black pepper and floral. The fruit is fresh and attractive with savoury and spice complexity; the mouthfeel is smooth with supple tannin extraction, lingering to an elegant finish. Match with smoked duck breast and lamb loin over the next 3-5 years. Fruit from Queensbury, fermented to 14% alc aged in old French oak barriques, 1/3 new for 9 months. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) Mar 2023 RRP $32
